DENISE GALE grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She studied art at California State College at Northridge. After graduation, Gale moved to a loft in downtown Pasadena where there was a vital art scene in the early 1970’s. She had three solo shows at Newspace Gallery and The Janus Gallery. She has been included in exhibitions in San Diego, St. Louis, Chicago and Cincinnati. Gale moved to New York City in 1980, where she had solo exhibitions at The Painting Center and 55 Mercer. Gale now lives in Springs, Long Island. She had her third solo show at ILLE Arts in April 2019, and was featured in the 2020 book, Hamptons Artists: The Current Wave, published by folioeast.
