About Denise Gale’s Paintings
Denise Gale shares some thoughts about her paintings and includes a brief bio.
“My paintings are very personal. I lay down swathes of oil paint on the surface. I like to create a tension and chaos, and then by laying color and editing passages of the existing layer I try to make some sense out the picture. The question for me is where to edit and where to add. I am always excited to create a painting that has discord. That is arrived at with gesture and color. All the things in life that cannot be explained, the abstract and the ephemeral, are what interest me.”
